The volume of foreign investments in Kazakhstan's government securities has reached 1.1 trillion tenge, announced Timur Suleimenov, the chairman of the National Bank of Kazakhstan, as reported by the regulator's press service on Saturday, February 15.
Speaking at the International Conference KASE: Joining Tabadul Digital Hub, National Bank head Timur Suleimenov highlighted the "significant increase in investor interest in the Kazakh market."
"Over the past year, the volume of foreign investments in Kazakhstan's government securities has more than doubled, reaching 1.1 trillion tenge. In April 2022, Kazakhstan's government bonds were officially included in the FTSE Frontier Emerging Markets Government Bond Index, which strengthened Kazakhstan's position in the global financial markets," the press service cited the words of the chairman of the National Bank of Kazakhstan.
