Following the trading results on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange on January 22, the exchange rate of the dollar was set at 520.91 tenge. Compared to the trading on January 21, the rate decreased by 6.67 tenge (from 527.58 tenge for $1).
In exchange offices in Almaty, according to the Kurs.kz website, the dollar is being sold for an average of 525.36 tenge and bought for 522.24 tenge (data as of 17:00). The euro in the exchange offices of the southern capital costs 547.82 tenge, with the purchase price for the European currency being 542.6 tenge.
The dollar reached its highest rate since the beginning of the year on January 13, at 530.31 tenge for $1 (on KASE).
