The Committee of State Revenues of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan announced the cancellation of 169 tax notifications sent to 93 bloggers. The total amount of the rescinded claims amounted to 9.8 billion tenge.
“On February 19, 2025, we conducted the cancellation of 169 notifications sent to 93 bloggers totaling 9.8 billion tenge, out of a previously issued 1,014 notifications concerning 594 bloggers for 53.3 billion tenge. The reason for the cancellation of the notifications was technical failures that occurred during their dispatch and processing,” the press service of the Committee of State Revenues reported.
As clarified by the KGD, work has now been done to reissue the rescinded notifications, taking into account the corrected technical errors, as noted by the KGD.
Recall that earlier in February, the KGD identified discrepancies amounting to 53.3 billion tenge among Kazakhstani bloggers who received notifications of desk audits for the violation of “underreporting income.” Influencers began receiving notifications from the tax service regarding unpaid taxes for the years 2022–2023. As some bloggers mentioned on their social media, about 8,000 individuals were included in the lists, with amounts specified in the letters ranging from several million to a billion tenge. However, many insisted that the tax authorities' calculations were incorrect.
