Co-owner of Kaspi.kz Vyacheslav Kim revealed some details about the acquisition of Jusan Bank. "The deal is not related to the company Kaspi.kz," he emphasized.

"I have submitted an application to the AIFC for the purchase of 97.5% of Jusan Bank's shares. Currently, this application is under review by the AIFC. It is expected that the regulator will make a decision after a thorough examination of the application," Kim stated in a comment provided to Forbes Kazakhstan.

Earlier, Forbes Kazakhstan, citing its own sources, reported that the richest businessman in Kazakhstan is acquiring a controlling stake in Jusan Bank from Galimzhan Yesenov.

According to official information, Galimzhan Yesenov (ranked 15th among the richest businessmen in 2024 with a net worth of $590 million) directly owned 19.67% of the bank's shares and 77.86% through JSC "First Heartland Securities," which he fully owns, as of January 1, 2025.

According to regulatory reporting, Jusan Bank's total assets at the beginning of 2025 amounted to 3.3 trillion tenge, including a loan portfolio of 1.3 trillion tenge. Total liabilities reached 2.5 trillion tenge, including the corporate deposit portfolio of 868.9 billion tenge and the individual deposit portfolio of 824.2 billion tenge. The equity capital stood at 849.5 billion tenge. For 2024, the bank earned approximately 156.7 billion tenge.

Forbes Kazakhstan ranked Vyacheslav Kim as the richest businessman in Kazakhstan in 2024. His net worth is estimated at $5.8 billion. In the annual global billionaire ranking, Forbes listed the Kaspi.kz shareholder at 511th position. As of January 1, 2025, his stake in the Kazakh fintech holding was 20.39%. The businessman is also a majority shareholder of JSC "Alseco" and the ultimate beneficial owner of the retail chain Magnum Cash&Carry.
