According to the publication, genetic improvements and control over growing conditions have played a significant role in enhancing the quality of rice, reports Kazpravda.kz referencing Izvestia.
“The evaluation of rice flavor is based on a national standard updated in 2008, which assesses the harvest in terms of appearance, aroma, palatability, taste, and texture of cold rice to derive an overall rating,” the publication states.
It is noted that China is the largest rice producer in the world, accounting for 28% of the total global production last year.
