The capital theater has prepared an exceptional program for its audience, which blends various genres and styles, creating a unique synergy of ballet, symphonic, and operatic arts, reports Kazpravda.kz

This cultural event will immerse art enthusiasts in the atmosphere of true classical art, where every movement and every chord reveals not only the aesthetic but also the profound emotional aspects of ballet, allowing one to genuinely feel the magic of symphony and dance.

Over the course of two days, from March 17 to 18, the "Astana Ballet" Theater will present the ballet "Carmen Suite" by Bizet-Shchedrin on the stage of the Esetai Palace of Culture in Pavlodar. Notably, the premiere of this performance took place nearly 60 years ago at the Bolshoi Theater, and it was later showcased in Havana, at the Cuban National Ballet. The libretto and choreography based on Prosper Mérimée's novella were created by Cuban choreographer Alberto Alonso, with direction by Timofey Lavrenyuk.

The musical transcription by Rodion Shchedrin, based on the themes of Bizet's opera, is executed with exceptional skill and deep passion, intertwining not only the virtuosity of the composition but also the subtle psychological nuances present in both Bizet's music and Mérimée's novella.

In the modern ballet world, the ballet "Carmen Suite" is rightly regarded as a true gem, and the performance of the free-spirited and rebellious Carmen, who lives by the laws of passion, becomes a significant creative achievement for select ballerinas.

The second act will feature the one-act ballet "Triumph" set to the music of Pyotr Tchaikovsky, choreographed by the young and talented choreographer Ainur Abilgazina.

The choreographic interpretation of this piece elegantly combines grace and elevated emotionality, creating a spectacle that embodies the grandeur and solemnity of classical ballet. "Triumph" is not merely a dance moment but a true homage to the art of classical ballet, at the peak of its beauty and perfection.

19 March, a concert featuring the star of the world opera scene, native Pavlodar resident Maria Mudryak, alongside the symphonic orchestra of the "Astana Ballet" theater, will take place on the stage of the Esetai Palace of Culture.

At the concert, audiences will delve into the multifaceted world of opera through the performance of their famous compatriot. The program will include masterpieces of Italian opera, the romance of Austrian operetta, as well as the fiery and passionate Spanish zarzuela.

“I am incredibly happy to have the opportunity to give a concert in my hometown of Pavlodar — the city where I was born and raised. I would also like to express my gratitude to the 'Astana Ballet' theater for yet another chance to perform with their outstanding symphonic orchestra,” shared her expectations the world diva of opera, Maria Mudryak.
