The New York Film Academy (NYFA) has launched a branch in Kazakhstan. This marks the third NYFA campus outside the United States and the first world-class creative university to open in Kazakhstan.

The online ceremony for signing the agreement to commence operations took place on March 1 at Energo University, attended by the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek, and the President of the New York Film Academy, Michael Yang.

Classes at the globally recognized academy will begin on September 29 of this year at the modern campus located within the Energo University Creative Industries Park in the city of Kaskelen, near Almaty.

Instruction at the branch will be delivered in person by professional NYFA lecturers who will travel from the USA, covering five areas within the framework of one-year and short-term training programs: “Filmmaking”; “Producing”; “Screenwriting”; “3D animation & VFX”; “Game design”.

The first cohort of the Academy is expected to enroll up to 200 students from Kazakhstan and neighboring countries in the region (China, India, Russia, etc.). Upon graduation, students will receive diplomas from an American university and have the opportunity to continue their studies in New York or Los Angeles.
