Полиция Алматы прокомментировала ситуацию с автором сатирического паблика.

According to the Almaty police, Temirlan Yensebek is under investigation for a case unrelated to satirical publications, reports correspondent Kazpravda.kz

“The reason is different – he published material that contains clear signs of inciting interethnic hatred, expressed through insults towards representatives of an entire ethnicity. This is unacceptable in our multi-ethnic country, where according to the Constitution, no one can be subjected to any discrimination based on origin, nationality, language, religious affiliation, or any other circumstances,” the police explained.

Law enforcement officials added that such actions undermine interethnic harmony and the unity of the people, which are among the fundamental principles of the state.

It is noted that responsibility for such violations is stipulated in Article 174 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

“In support of the offender, several citizens intentionally participated in unauthorized single pickets, deliberately violating the established procedure for holding mass events. These actions are also considered an offense, and by court decision, they were held administratively accountable,” the police commented.

It is also reported that the investigation is currently focused on identifying the authors of the song published by Yensebek on his Instagram channel.

Recall that on Saturday, January 19, Temirlan Yensebek, the author of the satirical public QazNews24, was arrested for two months. He is accused of violating Article 174 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Incitement of social, national, tribal, racial, class, or religious hatred.”

Today in Kostanay, an activist was detained for wearing an outer garment with the inscription “Satire is not a crime.” The day before, in Almaty, journalists Asem Japisheva and Ruslan Biketo were arrested for 15 days after conducting single pickets in support of Temirlan.
