Almaty Airport unveiled a tool designed to reduce flight delays.

According to the airport, this will enhance the efficiency and safety of winter operations.

"The latest de-icing station significantly accelerates the process of fueling de-icing fluid into vehicles. The station can simultaneously refuel four units of transport, reducing the refueling time to 5 minutes for each."

"Moreover, the airport has nearly doubled its stock of de-icing fluid, ensuring uninterrupted operations during peak winter periods," the airport stated.

It is also noted that airport staff have undergone specialized training for conducting de-icing operations to ensure adherence to the highest standards of quality and safety.

"To ensure safe and efficient operations for airlines and passengers in challenging weather conditions, Almaty International Airport continues to work on improving services and implementing innovative solutions," the airport's press service concluded.

It is worth mentioning that this winter, flights at Almaty Airport have been delayed multiple times. The airport reported that flights from Almaty are being delayed due to heavy snowfall, which hinders the de-icing treatment of aircraft.
