Kazakhstani boxer Aida Satybaldinova, who currently resides in the USA, responded to the actions of Angelina Lukas in the ring, who bit her opponent during a fight, as reported by Sports.kz.
“Since yesterday, I've been receiving messages and snippets. It's as if I bit someone there. I am not responsible for other boxers, even if they are my acquaintances, friends, etc. I do not take responsibility for Angelina’s bites! I always fight fairly — I have never used dirty tactics in boxing, even though I know them. By the way, I asked Sergio what would happen if a boxer bites another in the ring. He was surprised and asked why I was inquiring. I said, just curious. He told me it would be disqualification. He added that if I did that, he would leave immediately; he wouldn't tolerate such disgrace. I swear, I was surprised, although I understand. He is also very honest, so for him, it’s important how the victory is achieved,” Satybaldinova wrote in her Instagram stories.
Recall that the referee did not react to the illegal move from Angelina Lukas (14-1, 7 KOs), and ultimately she won against Bolivian Yesenia Toko (1-1, 0 KOs) by technical knockout in the second round.
