In Almaty at the Baluan Sholak Sports Palace, in the co-main event of the mixed martial arts evening Octagon 70, Kazakh fighter Georgy Kichigin (31-11) defended his welterweight championship title, as reported by Sports.kz.
His opponent was the contender from Uzbekistan, Saidatakhon Nuriddinov (6-1). The bout ended early: in the second round, Kichigin finished his opponent with a chokehold, successfully defending his championship belt. The video can be watched below.
Georgy Kichigin achieved his 32nd victory in his professional MMA career. Saidatakhon Nuriddinov suffered his second defeat.
