Gabdullina, Utepova, and Tlendieva: Which streets in Almaty will feature new technical sidewalks?

In the Bostandyk district of Almaty, technical sidewalks will be constructed along 11 major streets this year, according to a report from the city’s akimat, as shared by NUR.KZ.
Габдуллина, Утепова, Тлендиева: в Алматы будут установлены технические тротуары на этих улицах.

According to the department's information, in 2025, the construction of technical sidewalks will be carried out in accordance with modern standards for improving comfort, environmental friendliness, and the attractiveness of the urban environment.

Specifically, technical sidewalks will be installed along 11 major streets, as per the mayor's directive.

The project will cover the following streets: Sadykova, Mustafina, Isinalieva, Tlendieva, Radostovtsa, Gabdullina, Kekilbayuly, Nauryzbai Batyr, Markova, Utepova, and also the Bukhara Zhyrau Boulevard.

The district akimat noted that last year, technical sidewalks were constructed on six major streets in the district: Abay, Baizakova, Al-Farabi, Serkebaev, Zharokov, and Timiryazev.

"The technical sidewalk will ensure a clear separation of pedestrian and vehicle traffic, which minimizes the risk of road accidents. We aim to create the most convenient conditions for our citizens," explained the department of engineering and road infrastructure of the district.

The work will continue throughout the year, specialists added.

According to the akimat, the technical sidewalk is located on major streets and helps effectively combat soil erosion, as well as efficiently remove snow. Additionally, these sidewalks help address drainage issues, preventing flooding in case of heavy rains.

Furthermore, this year, ongoing pothole repairs on roads will continue.

In this regard, competitive procedures are currently underway to select a contracting organization. Work will commence after the contract is signed.

Recently, it was reported that the development of infrastructure for environmentally friendly modes of transport continues in Almaty: this year, approximately 20 km of bike paths are planned to be constructed.

It is also worth noting that in the southern capital, work on improving road infrastructure has begun ahead of schedule.
