Hamzat Chimaev reached out to Artur Beterbiev following his defeat to Dmitry Bivol.

The undefeated popular fighter UFC Hamzat Chimaev expressed his support for his compatriot, the former undisputed world champion in the light heavyweight division Artur Beterbiev, after his first career loss to the new holder of all titles in the light heavyweight division Dmitry Bivol, as reported by Sports.kz with a reference to Championat.com.

“Artur Beterbiev will forever remain in the history of boxing, a legend!” Chimaev wrote on his social media page.

Beterbiev lost to Bivol by a majority of judges' votes in the main event of the boxing evening, which took place on the night of February 22 to 23 in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia). They each have one victory in their head-to-head encounters, and a possible trilogy is now anticipated.
