Boxing journalist and commentator Michael Montero shared his thoughts on the performance of British contender for the WBC middleweight title Hamza Shiraz (21-0-1, 17 KOs) in his fight against the reigning champion Carlos Adames (24-1-1, 18 KOs), according to Sports.kz.
Their match took place on the night of February 22-23 in Riyadh and ended in a controversial draw. This decision sparked outrage among fans in the arena.
“Shiraz came into this fight with a lot of hype. Some people claimed he was better than Janibek Alimkhanuly. But I just don't see it, ladies and gentlemen,” Montero wrote on social media.
Recall that before the fight with Adames, Shiraz stated that if he won, he would then face Janibek.
