The Kazakhstan fighter's match for the gold at the 2025 Mini World Boxing Championship turned into a remarkable comeback.

In the final of the under-60-kilogram weight category, Temirzhanov faced off against Bulgarian boxer Radislav Rosenov, the current European champion among boxers under 23, as well as a silver medalist at the continental championship for adults. The match concluded with Rosenov winning by a split decision from the judges. Although the Bulgarian lost the first round decisively, he managed to make a comeback afterward.

Kazakhstani boxer Serik Temirzhanov competed in the final match at the "Strandja Cup" in Sofia (Bulgaria), which is also referred to as the small world championship, reports Sports.kz.

In the final of the 60-kilogram weight category, Temirzhanov faced Bulgarian Radislav Rosenov, the current European champion among boxers under 23, as well as a silver medalist at the senior continental championship. The outcome of this bout was a victory for Rosenov by a split decision from the judges. Notably, the Bulgarian lost the first round decisively but managed to make a comeback thereafter.

As a result, Radislav Rosenov claimed the gold medal at the "Strandja Cup," while Serik Temirzhanov finished the tournament with a silver medal. Regarding Temirzhanov's achievements as an amateur, he is a silver medalist from the 2021 World Championship and also holds a silver medal from the 2022 Asian Championship.
