At the “Strandja Cup” in Sofia (Bulgaria), also known as the small world championship in boxing, the final match in the men's super heavyweight category took place, reports Sports.kz.

The fight between Oralbay and the heir Jalolov turned into a sensational knockdown for the "gold"

In the final of the weight category over 92 kilograms, a classic matchup occurred between the Kazakh boxer Aibek Oralbay and the representative from Uzbekistan Jahongir Zokirov. This bout ended with an unexpected victory for Zokirov by a split decision of the judges — 3:2. In the first round, the referee counted a knockdown against Oralbay. Thus, Jahongir Zokirov became the tournament champion, while Aibek Oralbay secured a silver medal. Additionally, Zokirov is regarded as the successor to the renowned Uzbek super heavyweight Bahodir Jalolov. Speaking of Oralbay's achievements, he has twice won the "gold" at the Asian Championship (2022, 2024).
