The musical project OYU Live, founded by the renowned director and producer Aisultan Seitov in 2021, has been introducing new names in Kazakh music for several years. The project's goal is to provide a platform for the support and development of talented musicians from across the country. Performers receive professional recordings of their performances for free, which are then published on the OYU Live YouTube channel. The project features both stars and emerging artists, helping them connect with their audience and engage with key industry players — producers, directors, and musicians.
Additionally, the OYU Fest, a festival of contemporary Kazakh music, takes place annually in Almaty and Astana, attracting over 10,000 spectators.
In 2024, Kaspi.kz became the general partner of OYU, elevating the project to a new level. In 2025, the company will continue its collaboration, supporting initiatives aimed at developing the Kazakh music scene.
Mikhail Lomtadze, head and co-founder of Kaspi.kz:
“Last year, we were delighted to support OYU Fest and served as the general partner of this wonderful music festival and the filming of the OYU Live season. This year, we will continue our collaboration and friendship. This is a fantastic project that unites Kazakhs around contemporary Kazakh music. The main goal is to pave the way for young talented performers. Our teams have formed an excellent partnership, striving to make the world around us better and more beautiful.”
Aisultan Seitov, founder of OYU:
“This year marks our 5th anniversary, and I am thrilled to share our collective achievement — the channel has surpassed 100,000 subscribers. This silver button is not just an award but a symbol that together with you, we are creating a space for Kazakh music. Each of you is a part of this story, and without you, OYU simply would not exist. Thank you for your love, support, and faith in us! We also have great news: we are extending our partnership with Kaspi.kz and are already preparing many new projects. We can’t wait to show you what’s ahead! Stay tuned for updates — it will be exciting. See you soon at OYU Fest!”
In 2025, a competition for young performers will be held for the first time, with the winners entering the eighth season of OYU Live. Festivals in Almaty and Astana will once again gather thousands of fans of Kazakh music. As a result of all these events, new documentaries will be released highlighting the most prominent names on the big stage.
