Киргизский прокат прекратил показ казахстанского фильма «Рэкетир: Новые времена».

Deputy Baktybek Maripov, during a meeting of the Committee on Law and Order of the Jogorku Kenesh, proposed banning the screening of films in Kyrgyzstan that promote criminal ideology, as reported by a correspondent from Kazpravda.kz citing Kaktus.media.

He pointed out that films such as "Black Yard," "The Word of the Guy," "Brigade," and others like them have a negative impact on the psycho-emotional state of teenagers.

“These films have a strong influence on adolescents. Additionally, there are computer gaming clubs where teenagers can play games that feature scenes of violence and shooting. Many parents have approached us asking to prohibit minors from accessing such clubs. We need to examine this issue and introduce appropriate restrictions,” the deputy addressed the representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

“Dear guests, the film ‘Racketeer: New Times’ has been removed from screening in all cinemas across the country. For refunds, please contact the cinema administration and customer support,” the message from cinematica_kg stated.

Meanwhile, the film ‘Racketeer: New Times’ grossed a record 657.9 million tenge in its domestic box office during the first weekend. This success highlights the high viewer interest in the continuation of the cult story and confirms the demand for Kazakh cinema among a wide audience.

The premiere in Kazakh cinemas took place on February 13.
