Kazakhstan residents have been alerted about severe weather conditions expected on February 23.

According to meteorologists, fog and icy conditions are expected in the center, south, and north of the Kyzylorda region. In the Aktobe region, snowfall, with heavy localized snow, ground blizzards, and gusty winds of up to 20 m/s are forecasted. Similar weather conditions are anticipated in the West Kazakhstan, Kostanay, Akmolinsk, and Atyrau regions.

Fog, icy conditions, and strong winds with gusts of up to 23 m/s are expected in the Almaty, Abai, and East Kazakhstan regions.

In the mountainous areas of the Zhambyl region, precipitation in the form of rain and snow, as well as fog and icy conditions, are forecasted.

In the western parts of the Karaganda and Ulytau regions, precipitation, ground blizzards, and icy conditions may occur. The Mangistau region is expected to experience fog and icy roads.

Blizzards and strong wind gusts are anticipated in the Pavlodar and North Kazakhstan regions.

Emergency services advise residents to exercise caution, avoid long trips, and consider weather conditions when planning routes.
