"No plot of land purchased with public funds will be transferred to private ownership," stated Dosaev.

The mayor of Almaty, Erbolat Dosaev, has assured that the lands purchased by the city administration will never be transferred to private individuals. He emphasized that this is strictly prohibited by the Land Code.
«Ни одна сотка земли, приобретенная на бюджетные средства, не будет передана в частные руки», — заявил Досаев.

Dosaev explained how the Almaty akimat is purchasing land for state needs.

“It is said that the compensation amounts for land purchases are insufficient to meet all the people's needs. There are clear evaluation mechanisms established by law, but if the court determines that a larger sum must be paid by law, the city will pay it. We will find the money and save where we can. It is crucial for the city to develop. As the city akim, I do not have enough state land fund available for development,” Dosaev stated during a meeting with residents of the Medeu district.

He added that since his appointment in 2022, the akimat has been acquiring land for road construction, social infrastructure development, and public spaces—all in accordance with the law.

“Not a single square meter of land purchased with budget funds under the Land Code can be transferred to private individuals. I want to clarify this issue right away to avoid any illusions that the akimat can buy land and transfer it to someone. This is strictly prohibited by the Land Code, and we do not have the right to do so,” concluded Yerbolat Dosaev.

Earlier, the akim reported that the landscaping of the Terrenkur park area in Almaty would be completed by April of this year. The reconstruction, which is part of projects with a budget of 2 billion tenge, is promised to be completed by the end of 2024.
