Dosayev announced that construction and installation work on the major renovation of the city’s specialized children's home No. 2 is expected to be completed in March. Last year, 1 billion tenge was allocated for these works.
In June, a new building for emergency medical station No. 4 will appear in the area, with plans to demolish the old one. This is believed to enhance the quality and responsiveness of medical services, according to the akimat.
By the end of summer, the Medeu district plans to develop design and estimate documentation for the construction of a clinic in the Duman microdistrict, the reconstruction of the "Alatau" clinic, and the construction of a new building for maternity hospital No. 2. The completion of the maternity hospital is scheduled for 2026.
"Funding for the modernization of healthcare infrastructure in Almaty will increase 2.6 times to 69.4 billion tenge in 2025," - the akimat reported.
Additionally, this year in the Medeu district, construction will begin on 50 km of water supply and sewage distribution networks for 7,000 residents of the western part of the Kamenskoe Plateau microdistrict. The work is expected to be completed by September 2026.
This year, the construction of another 100 km of water supply and sewage networks in the Muztau, Sulusai, Atyrau, Alatau, Malaya Stanitsa, and Gorny Gigant microdistricts will also be completed, Dosayev reported.
Speaking about the development of the district's road and transport infrastructure, Dosayev mentioned that an average repair of 23.7 km of roads on 25 streets is planned. A number of additional works are set to be carried out, including the repair of 73,000 sq. m of road surface, the construction of over 36 km of new sidewalks on 9 streets, and the installation of about 5 km of drainage networks on 18 streets.
Furthermore, in May of this year, it is planned to add another 44 buses on 13 routes covering the Medeu district .
The akim also spoke about plans to build a new school for 2,000 students in the southern part of the city, near the Kuldzhinsky tract. The school is expected to welcome its first students in September.
To expand existing educational institutions, extensions are being built to three schools: a 300-seat extension to school No. 35, which will be completed in June 2025, and a 250-seat extension to school No. 99 - the work is scheduled to be finished in November 2025. NIS is constructing a 320-seat extension that will be ready by August 2025.
In September, the construction of a private school for 1,200 students in the Duman microdistrict is planned. The school is expected to be completed in August 2026.
By April of this year, Almaty plans to complete the modernization of the Terrenkur . The project includes the improvement of the pond, the creation of recreational areas, and children's and sports playgrounds.
"In May 2025, we will start large-scale work on comprehensive improvement "from facade to facade" of Dostyk Avenue from Kurmangazy Street to Al-Farabi Avenue and Pushkin Street from Rayymbek Batyr Avenue to Gogol Street," - Dosayev informed.
As part of these projects, road surfaces will be renewed, bike paths will be established, sports and recreational areas will be equipped, and comprehensive landscaping of the territory will be conducted. The completion of construction and installation work is scheduled for the end of this year.
Additionally, in April, repair work will begin in courtyard areas, with plans to beautify 60 courtyards by October. A budget of 2.8 billion tenge has been allocated for these purposes.
At a meeting with residents, Dosayev also mentioned that in April, the construction of 83 km of outdoor lighting lines in 104 gardening associations and on 5 unlit streets of the district - Bekturov, Tajbenov, Baishiev, Alimzhanov, and Kyz Zhibek - will begin.
"These are the very areas where there has never been street lighting before, and we intend to complete this work by November 2025," - said the akim.
The akimat plans to provide outdoor lighting for all district streets by the end of 2025.
Speaking about addressing the district's infrastructure problems and ensuring residents of remote microdistricts have access to water supply and sewage systems, the city akim noted that requests from 50,000 residents have already been resolved.
"They are now provided with stable water supply, and these issues are no longer raised. For me, this is a significant achievement. This year we will work in the western part, and next year we will focus on the eastern part, including the construction of sewage systems and networks to prevent landslides, as people are using septic tanks. These issues are fundamentally important to me," - the city head emphasized.
Recall that earlier the akimat reported on plans to improve the Almalinsky district this year - a House of Students, a new maternity hospital, kindergartens, and a school are planned to be built here.
