"Last week, there was a technological disruption in the Shet district due to the relationship between two entities, which resulted in debts. The issue has been resolved, and electricity has been restored.
We are implementing a program for network modernization, and over the past two years, the energy sector has shown positive developments. There has been a decrease in technological disruptions at stations and electrical networks, but since this involves technology, along with weather conditions and unforeseen circumstances, outages can still occur.
When you mention that electricity is being turned off in certain cities, it is indeed happening; however, the automation systems activate, and the relevant services take immediate action. For each specific case, we are prepared to comment separately with my colleagues and the committee," said Deputy Minister of Energy Arymbek Kudaybergen.
We would like to remind you that about a week ago, a local state of emergency was declared in the Shet district of the Karaganda region due to the energy supply situation.
The akimat stated that the company "Shet-Energo" is not complying with the requirements of JSC "Zhezkazgan Distribution Electric Network Company" regarding electricity transmission. As a result, restrictions on electricity supply have been imposed in the area.
Residents of the district have been asked to be patient until the situation stabilizes.
Later, the akim of the Shet district, Mukhit Mukhtarov, addressed the local residents. The head of the district also emphasized that a complete audit of the networks will be carried out.
