Police with dogs patrolled the yards in one of Almaty's districts, with the local Department of Police providing an explanation for their presence.

In Almaty, police conducted patrols with dogs in the yards of the Auezov district to proactively identify potential locations for drug transportation and distribution, as reported by NUR.KZ referencing the Department of Police.

According to a report on the Instagram account of the Almaty Police Department, the prosecutor's office of the Auezov district has carried out joint efforts with the canine service and police officers at the "Sairan" bus station to prevent and identify potential locations for the transportation and sale of narcotic substances. A door-to-door survey of residential areas and garage cooperatives was also conducted.

During the raid and preventive measures, 10 garage cooperatives and 35 intercity buses were covered.

"It is important to note that the Auezov district is one of the most densely populated residential areas in our city. It ranks second in the number of registered criminal cases."

"We urge citizens to assist law enforcement by immediately reporting any reliable information regarding illegal trafficking and sale of narcotic substances," the police appealed to the residents and guests of Almaty.

Additionally, we reported today that the departments of the National Security Committee in the Zhambyl region and Almaty, in coordination with the prosecutor's office, have disrupted a drug supply channel.

It was also previously reported that the Almaty police arrested a 22-year-old man in the private sector of the Zhetysu district, where narcotic substances were found on him.

Before this, law enforcement detained a 30-year-old woman in Almaty, who is suspected of repeatedly selling synthetic psychotropic substances.
