According to the official Telegram channel of the courts in Astana, the regulatory authority for natural monopolies has filed a lawsuit with the capital's economic court to compel a reduction in the heat energy tariff.
The court has established that the defendant is a subject of natural monopolies in the supply of heat energy.
An audit revealed violations concerning the tariff due to an increase in the volume of services provided.
The tariff formation rules stipulate that in cases of increased service volumes, a reduction in the tariff for regulated services is required.
However, the joint-stock company did not lower the tariffs, resulting in excessive profits and overpayments by consumers due to inflated rates.
The profits obtained should be directed towards the development and effective functioning of the regulated service, in accordance with the approved tariff estimates.
The income generated by the defendant from the increased service volumes was not allocated for the purposes stipulated by law, nor was there a reduction in the tariff.
Therefore, the lawsuit against the monopolist was upheld by the court, and the defendant is obligated to lower the tariff, with the profits directed towards the development of heat networks.
The decision has come into legal force.
