Heavy snowfall is expected in Almaty during the final days of winter.

Meteorologists have warned residents of Almaty about the expected heavy precipitation in the city, with snowfall predicted, as reported by NUR.KZ referencing the press service of RGP "Kazhydromet."

On Wednesday, February 26, the weather will be overcast, with precipitation in the form of rain and snow, at times heavy. Ice is also expected. In the evening, fog will develop. Nighttime temperatures will range from 0 to +2 degrees, while daytime temperatures will be between +6 and +8 degrees.

On February 27, variable cloudiness is anticipated, with the possibility of snow at night. During the day, there may be fog and icy conditions. Nighttime temperatures will drop to -5 to -7 degrees, while daytime temperatures will range from 0 to +2 degrees.

Precipitation is also forecasted for February 28. Additionally, there will be occasional fog and icy conditions. Nighttime temperatures will fall to -7 to -9 degrees, while daytime temperatures will warm up to 0 to +2 degrees.

It is worth noting that meteorologists recently shared what weather to expect this spring in Kazakhstan.

According to the advisory long-term forecast, from March to May, the temperature in Kazakhstan is expected to be warmer than usual—1 to 2 degrees above normal—but periods of low temperatures cannot be ruled out.

Meteorologists emphasize that the transitional season can be extremely unstable due to frequent changes in synoptic processes, so spring may bring unexpected surprises.

It should also be noted that a storm warning was issued in several regions of Kazakhstan in the last days of February due to precipitation, strong winds, and icy conditions.
