The main event of the mixed martial arts evening Octagon 70 took place at the Baluan Sholak Sports Palace in Almaty, as reported by Sports.kz.
In the fight for the BMF title in the lightweight division, Kazakhstan's actor and MMA fighter Erkebulan Toktar (9-3) faced Tajikistan's Kamariddin Khasanov (7-2). The bout ended with a victory for the Kazakh fighter by technical knockout in the fourth round: Toktar landed a powerful shot to Khasanov's jaw, causing him to be unable to continue the fight. Commentators speculated that Khasanov might have a broken jaw. Thus, Erkebulan Toktar became the first-ever holder of the BMF belt in the history of the Octagon league. Erkebulan Toktar secured his tenth victory in his professional MMA career, while Kamariddin Khasanov suffered his third defeat.
