According to the weather forecast, from February 27 to March 1, most of the country will experience snowfall accompanied by blizzards. In the southern and southeastern regions, the snow will mix with rain.
On February 27, heavy snowfall is expected in the east and southeast, while from February 28 to March 1, significant snowfall will occur in the southwest and northwest of Kazakhstan.
During this period, fog and icy conditions will prevail across the country. In the southeast, winds may strengthen to 30 m/s or more.
At night, temperatures in the northwest, east, and central regions will drop to -12 to -28 degrees Celsius, in the north to -15 to -25 degrees Celsius, and in the west to -5 to -20 degrees Celsius. Conversely, in the south and southeast, temperatures will slightly rise to -1 to -10 degrees Celsius.
Earlier, "Kursiv" reported that due to heavy precipitation, meteorologists issued a storm warning for Almaty. According to "Kazhydromet," on February 26, residents of Almaty can expect rain transitioning to snow, leading to significant icy conditions on the streets.
