Snow, blizzards, and fog: meteorologists have issued a storm warning for several regions in Kazakhstan.

On February 24, the northern and central regions of the Kyzylorda region are expected to experience heavy snow and ground blizzards. Fog is anticipated in the center, north, and east of the region, with ice formation in the center and north. Winds will reach speeds of 15-20 m/s in the center and northern parts of the region.

In the Almaty region , the western and eastern areas will experience winds with gusts of 17-22 m/s.

In Konev, on February 24, winds will be present with gusts of 17-22 m/s.

In the Aktobe region , snow and blizzards are expected at night, with heavy snow in the southern and eastern areas. During the day, the northern and eastern regions will see snow and ground blizzards. Winds will gust at 15-20 m/s in the northern and eastern parts of the region.

From February 24-25, winds around the Alakol lakes in the Zhetysu region are expected, with gusts of 15-20 m/s, occasionally reaching 23-28 m/s.

On February 24, at night in the western and southern parts of the Akmolinsk region , snow and ground blizzards are anticipated, while during the day, precipitation (rain and snow), ground blizzards, and ice formation are expected in the western and southern parts. Fog is anticipated in the western, northern, and eastern regions. Easterly winds in the western and southern areas will gust at 15-20 m/s.

In the southern and eastern parts of the Atyrau region , fog is expected.

In the mountainous areas of the Zhambyl region , precipitation (rain and snow), ice formation, and rain are expected during the day in the western, southern, and mountainous regions. Fog is anticipated at night and in the morning in the northern and southern areas as well as in the mountainous regions. Winds in the southwest, northeast, and mountainous areas will reach speeds of 15-20 m/s.

In the West Kazakhstan region , snow is expected across most of the area at night, and during the day, snow will continue in the western and northern parts. Ground blizzards and fog are anticipated in the western, northern, and eastern regions.

In Zhezkazgan, on February 24, precipitation (rain and snow), ground blizzards, and ice formation are expected. Fog will also occur. Winds in the morning and during the day will gust at 18 m/s.

In the city of Ridder, a second-degree warning for adverse weather conditions remains in effect.
