Bridge construction has left part of the city of Semey without water supply.

In Semey, bridge builders severed the power supply lines to the pumping station, leaving the right bank without water supply, reports NUR.KZ, citing Abainewskz.
Строители моста временно отключили водоснабжение в части города Семей.

Today, around 03:00, an accident occurred at the "Smychka-1" water intake facility. A contractor working on the bridge construction damaged both the main and backup power supply lines, leading to a complete power outage at the water intake pumping stations. Consequently, water supply to the right bank, except for the "Zaton" area of the city, was halted.

According to the information from GKP "Semey Vodokanal", an emergency team from the enterprise worked throughout the night alongside a team from JSC "OESK" and managed to restore power to the water intake by 07:45. Currently, the filling of reservoirs is ongoing; however, the process is slow due to high water consumption.

As a result, the Karagayly microdistrict and RSU remain without water supply, affecting a total of 54 apartment buildings and 355 private houses, as well as one healthcare facility.

Additionally, another accident occurred today on the water pipeline at the address Bi Boranbaya 45, which has led to a suspension of water supply from 14:30 until the repair work is completed at the following addresses:

We remind you that at the end of January, part of the Bostandyk district of Almaty was left without heating and hot water due to an accident on the pipeline.

Furthermore, at the end of December, a pipeline was damaged on the heating main in Almaty, resulting in several microdistricts being left without heating.

The reconnection of homes to heating began early the next day. The emergency service explained that the damage occurred due to the wear and tear of the pipeline, which had been put into operation in 1984.
