Coach Eduard Bazrov, who works with the welterweight UFC fighter from Kazakhstan Shavkat Rakhmonov, commented on the timing of the "Nomad's" next fight following the cancellation of the championship bout against titleholder Belal Muhammad, as reported by Sports.kz.

Last week, it was officially announced that Muhammad would fight Jack Della Maddalena instead of Shavkat Rakhmonov, as many fans had anticipated. It turned out that the Kazakh fighter would not be able to recover from his injuries in time for the fight scheduled on May 10.
