"We plan to collaborate with the National Testing Center to implement artificial intelligence specifically in the Unified National Test (ENT). The first initiative will involve providing consultation (with the help of AI - ed.) regarding the rules of conduct, as well as on career orientation and grant applications."
"The second project will focus on the application of artificial intelligence during the ENT itself. This involves creating a factoring system based on the existing system of the National Testing Center," - reported Nursultan Makhatov, the director of the Department of Digitalization and State Services of the Ministry of Education and Science.
The third project concerning the ENT with artificial intelligence will be a pilot program - AI will be tested for creating tests instead of humans.
"In pilot mode, we plan to use artificial intelligence in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Development for creating tests for the ENT. All materials and syllabuses for the subject will be uploaded, and based on the examples provided, where teachers currently create tests, we will attempt to utilize artificial intelligence in creating subject-specific tests," - added Nursultan Makhatov.
It is worth noting that on January 13, the ENT commenced in Kazakhstan, lasting until February 10. Approximately 167,000 individuals applied to participate in it.
Following this, the National Testing Center published the initial results. At that time, it was reported that 71 results were annulled due to attempts to bring in prohibited items, such as smartphones and cheat sheets, and violations of rules during testing. In the second week, it was reported that the results of 111 individuals were annulled. Subsequently, this number rose to 150 individuals.
Additionally, the Ministry of Science warned that after the conclusion of ENT-2025, an analysis of video recordings will be conducted until October 31 of the calendar year.
On February 15, an important announcement regarding the ENT was made to Kazakhstani school students - the republic has begun accepting applications for students to participate in the March ENT, which will take place from March 1 to April 5.
Later, it became known that the dates for conducting the ENT in Kazakhstan are planned to be changed: amendments to the Rules of Conducting the Unified National Testing have been prepared by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
Furthermore, as early as May of last year, it was announced that starting in 2025, the format of the ENT will change again in Kazakhstan. At that time, the Minister of Science and Higher Education stated that the new format would allow for taking the exam "in a convenient mode."
