The Foreign Ministry discussed the advancement of key projects with the UN.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan has discussed collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme, according to DKnews.kz.
В Министерстве иностранных дел обсудили прогресс основных проектов с ООН.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Roman Vasilenko, held a meeting with the UN Development Programme (UNDP) Resident Representative in Kazakhstan, Katarzhina Wawernia.

During the conversation, the parties thoroughly discussed the current state and future prospects of cooperation with UNDP, including within the framework of regional and bilateral initiatives.

R. Vasilenko emphasized the importance of collaborating with UNDP regarding the funding of targeted projects aimed at enhancing local governance and providing technical assistance to state bodies of Kazakhstan.

For her part, K. Wawernia welcomed the high dynamics of their interaction and expressed readiness to continue cooperation on the most prioritized areas.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the interlocutors agreed to maintain dialogue on relevant issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation.

The UN Development Programme is the largest UN agency operating in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Its activities are governed by the Country Programme and the Cooperation Agreement for Sustainable Development for 2021-2025. The Country Programme encompasses four main areas of cooperation: addressing social vulnerability and inequality; enhancing the effectiveness and accountability of public institutions; promoting economic growth; combating climate change and fostering low-carbon development.
