The Ministry of Internal Affairs responded to the leaked lists of bloggers revealing their tax debts that surfaced online.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs is conducting an investigation into the circulation of a list on social media containing personal information about bloggers and influencers regarding their tax debts, as reported by NUR.KZ citing the agency's press service.
В МВД прокомментировали утечку списков блогеров с информацией о налоговых задолженностях, появившихся в Интернете.

"The fact that a list containing personal data of bloggers and influencers has circulated on social media has been recorded in the Ministry of Internal Affairs information log, and the material has been forwarded to the Astana Police Department."

"During the examination of this material, measures will be taken to verify the authenticity of the list. Based on the results of the investigation, a decision will be made, including the consideration of initiating a pre-trial investigation," - informed a correspondent from NUR.KZ in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

It is noted that the interested parties will be notified of the decision made in accordance with the law.

Recall that it was previously reported that the Committee for State Revenues identified instances of income underreporting by Kazakhstani bloggers, involving discrepancies in taxes for 594 individuals amounting to 53.3 billion tenge.

Later, the Deputy Chairman of the Financial Monitoring Agency, Zhenis Elemessov, discussed whether bloggers could face criminal liability for tax evasion during a meeting at the Mazhilis.

Following this, the Committee for State Revenues (KGD) announced the withdrawal of 169 notifications that had previously been sent to 93 Kazakhstani bloggers. The reason was technical malfunctions during the sending and processing of these notifications.

Last autumn, a deputy proposed to investigate bloggers who sell courses on social media, noting that many of them offer courses containing worthless information.
