“As part of the investigation, 39 expert examinations have been appointed, 117 witness and victim interrogations conducted, 90 disks reviewed, and 36 confrontations held. There is an enormous amount of material that requires analysis. This will take a certain amount of time,” replied the Deputy Prosecutor General.
Media representatives clarified when the agency would publicize the results of the investigation.
“We are currently in the stage of familiarization with the materials of the criminal case. There are 11 individuals involved in the case,” summarized Koigeldiev.
On the night of October 4, 2024, a brawl occurred in Talgar, resulting in the death of 16-year-old Sherzat Bolat. The incident drew significant attention because the conflict began “over a can of beer.” The court has arrested 10 suspects. Media outlets reported that they are members of the organized crime group “Khutorskaya Gang,” but the police deny the existence of such a gang.
A week after Sherzat's murder, the house where his family lived burned down. In December, police discovered the body of his 30-year-old uncle on the outskirts of Talgar. According to the police, he committed suicide because he felt he could not protect his nephew.
“Kursiv” reported that the lawyers for the family of the 16-year-old Sherzat Bolat, who was killed in Talgar, speculated on the date for the start of the trial and shared details about the condition of his relatives. They also provided insights into the investigative actions taken.
