The subsidiary "QazExpoCongress" was dissolved following a directive from state auditors.

QazExpoCongress has dissolved the "Kazakhstan Trade and Exhibition Center," which was responsible for managing the pavilions in Moscow. This decision was made by the Supreme Audit Chamber (SAC), according to a statement from the organization.
«Дочку» QazExpoCongress закрыли по указанию государственных аудиторов.

During the state audit conducted by the Ministry of Trade and its subordinate structures, VAP established that the national company had two corporate funds — QazExpoCongress and the "Kazakhstan Trade and Exhibition Center".

“Targeted financing and management of Kazakhstan's pavilions at VDNH in Moscow and at EXPO-2020 in Dubai were carried out through these funds. However, the insufficient utilization of these two non-profit organizations, along with the duplication of certain functions, raised doubts about the feasibility of their continued parallel operation,” VAP clarified.

Following VAP's directive, the national company optimized its structure. After the liquidation of one corporate fund, all assets, buildings, and contractual obligations were transferred to the other fund. The state auditors added that they would monitor the implementation of other points of the directive but did not specify which ones.

Earlier, it became known about the reconstruction of the "Nūr Alem" sphere, which is located on the EXPO territory in Astana under the management of QazExpoCongress. A center for artificial intelligence, Alem.AI, is planned to be created there. Currently, workers are dismantling structures in the "Energy of the Future" museum.

In 2017, an international exhibition EXPO was held in the capital of Kazakhstan. A total of 543.53 billion tenge was allocated for the construction of the sphere. QazExpoCongress was established by the government in 2013 specifically for the purpose of organizing the exhibition.
