The Prosecutor General's Office is unaware of the whereabouts of Dana Ormanbaeva, who is suspected of inciting hatred.

The Prosecutor General's Office of Kazakhstan is unaware of the whereabouts of journalist Dana Ormanbaeva, who has been placed on the wanted list for inciting interethnic hatred. This was reported by Deputy Prosecutor General Galymzhan Koigeldiev.
Генпрокуратура не располагает информацией о местонахождении Даны Орманбаевой, подозреваемой в разжигании ненависти.

“Interpol is handling the search for Ormanbaeva's whereabouts. I cannot specify her exact location. Social media claims she is commenting from the UAE. However, we do not have reliable information on that yet,” stated Koigeldiev in the corridors of the Mazhilis.

At the end of January, it became known that Ormanbaeva is suspected of inciting ethnic hatred. A court in Almaty ordered her arrest and put her on an international wanted list.

An entry with Ormanbaeva's name appeared on the legal statistics portal, which publishes information about wanted individuals, just the day before.

Ormanbaeva herself believes that the case against her has been fabricated.

“Let me say one thing, the most important: I am not an inciter of interethnic hatred. All my Russian friends, partners, and associates know this well... And now I am being pursued because of this contrived and entirely fabricated case,” wrote Ormanbaeva on her social media.

In the fall of 2024, Dana Ormanbaeva lost a legal dispute against producer Bayana Alaguzova. The Bostandyk District Court ordered the latter to refute the published information and pay compensation. Kursiv LifeStyle reported on the outcomes of this high-profile case.
