Due to an accident at the station in Atyrau, six trains are currently delayed.

As a result of an accident at a railway crossing near the Tyndyk station in the Atyrau region, six passenger trains are delayed. This information was provided by JSC "NC "KTZ".

The national company has notified that the following railway routes are delayed due to an incident in Atyrau:

No. 313 “Atyrau – Mangystau”;

No. 314 “Mangystau – Atyrau”;

No. 42 “Almaty – Atyrau”;

No. 41 “Atyrau – Almaty”;

No. 123 “Volgograd – Tashkent”;

No. 691 “Atyrau – Aktobe”.

Additionally, the company has stated that the Atyrau akimat has allocated buses for passenger transport, which operate between the stations Atyrau and Karabotan. KTZ assures that they are providing meals for passengers and keeping them informed about the situation through SMS and announcements at the stations.

“We apologize for the inconvenience caused and are doing everything possible to restore service as quickly as possible,” KTZ reported.

The carrier is conducting recovery operations at the accident site, and a special train has already been dispatched for repairs.

Company representatives emphasized that if a train is delayed for more than an hour, passengers may receive compensation:

  • full refund of the ticket price if the trip is canceled;
  • refund for the untraveled segment of the journey if the trip was interrupted;
  • 3% of the ticket price for each hour of delay (but not exceeding the cost of travel).

To receive compensation, passengers need to contact the ticket offices of JSC “Passenger Transportation” and submit an application.

Recall that on March 1, an accident occurred at the railway crossing of the Tendik station: a freight vehicle collided with a train. As a result of the accident, the locomotive and 11 empty cars derailed, and railway employees were also injured.
