В Казахстане планируется запуск Национального словарного фонда казахского языка с использованием технологий искусственного интеллекта.

The Ministry of Science and Education will create a website based on academic and translation dictionaries. Information for Kazakhstan citizens will be publicly accessible.

The dictionary fund is needed to preserve, protect, and develop the Kazakh language, as well as to strengthen its state status. The Ministry of Science also has other goals:

  • to gather resources encompassing the areas of application of the Kazakh language in one place;
  • to streamline, digitize, and generate the lexical composition of the language;
  • to apply artificial intelligence and automate the information processing process.

Vice Minister of Science Darkhan Akhmed-Zaki previously stated that IT specialists are already working on the National Dictionary Fund and the National Corpus of the Kazakh Language. According to him, these will serve as the foundation for the Kazakh language AI model.

On January 23, “Kursiv” wrote about how Senate deputies approved new regulations regarding culture, education, and mentoring. These include the creation of a language model for processing and writing texts in the Kazakh language, based on neural networks.
