An 8-year-old girl changed her mind about playing outside, hopped on a bus, and left for Astana.

According to the information media portal of the department, a mother sought help from the police regarding her eight-year-old daughter, who left home on January 28 at around 1:00 PM and did not return.

The law enforcement officers quickly organized a search and immediately relayed information about the missing girl to all police units. Community representatives, educators, and concerned residents of the area also joined the search efforts.

Police personnel reviewed footage from surveillance cameras, interviewed witnesses, and conducted door-to-door inquiries.

In one of the videos, they noticed that the girl boarded public transportation and left in an unknown direction, presumably towards Astana. This was later confirmed. By around 5:00 PM, it was established that the missing girl was in the capital with relatives.

“It turned out that after additional classes, she decided to play outside but then changed her mind, got on a bus, and independently went to the capital,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs clarified.

The woman recorded a video message expressing her gratitude to the officers of the Tselinograd district police department for their prompt actions during the search for her missing child.

She highlighted the high professionalism and attentive attitude of the criminal police staff, thanking them for their sensitivity and care in this challenging situation.

Previously, in Almaty, a girl who had been missing for four years was found. A Kazakh woman reported the disappearance of her 16-year-old daughter in the Turkestan region in 2021. It turned out that the girl had been working in one of the food establishments in the metropolis.

Additionally, an 18-year-old girl who had gone missing in the Karasai district of Almaty region was also found. She was located with relatives and safely returned to her parents. The police conducted a preventive discussion with the family.
