"On November 3, 2024, upon arrival of the flight from Saint Petersburg to Astana, the airline failed to provide assistance for a minor passenger with disabilities. After a long wait, the child's father had to carry the child out of the airplane himself. The delay in service was due to incorrect information provided by the airline staff regarding the need for a wheelchair," - stated in the agency's message on the official website.
Following the incident, the aviation transport prosecutor's office in Astana responded to the violation of the rights of the passenger with special needs.
As a result, the airline was held administratively accountable for violating transportation regulations (part 1 of article 571 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Kazakhstan).
Furthermore, according to part 1 of article 571 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, violations of the rules for international transportation of passengers, luggage, and cargo, except for transportation by road and rail, result in a fine equivalent to fifty monthly calculation indicators.
