"Мастер маскировки": рысь, прогуливающаяся по Катон-Карагаю, была запечатлена на фотоловушку.

The Instagram account of the Forestry and Wildlife Committee announced the latest animal captured by the installed camera traps.

"Recently, specialists from the Katon-Karagay National Park recorded a rare and mysterious inhabitant of our forests - the lynx!"

"The lynx is a true master of camouflage, known for its sharp claws, excellent hearing, and unique tufts on its ears," the message stated.

According to information published on the official website of the Katon-Karagay National Park, the lynx is a species of wild cat that inhabits the mountainous regions of our country, including the Katon-Karagay National Park. They play a crucial role in maintaining the biological balance and are predators.

As a reminder, in January of this year, an interesting incident was recorded in the Katon-Karagay National Park: a curious bear discovered a camera trap but ended up breaking it while trying to investigate.

At the end of November last year, a snow leopard and a Turkestan lynx were captured on camera traps in the Kolsai Lakes National Park. We also reported that a lynx, Siberian ibex, and eagle were caught on camera in the East Kazakhstan region.
