On January 29 at 01:20, the Almaty region emergency service received a report that three individuals in a Mitsubishi Pajero were caught in a snowdrift in the mountainous area of "Bugyty" (Enbekshikazakh district) while returning from a vacation near the Charyn Canyon.
The individuals were trapped , but communication with them was maintained.
To carry out the rescue operation, 9 emergency service personnel and 2 pieces of equipment were dispatched.
At 07:35, rescuers arrived at the "Bugyty" mountainous area, where the stranded vehicle was located - all three victims were successfully evacuated.
They did not require medical assistance.
Subsequently, they were taken to the nearest village, Shelek.
It is worth noting that earlier the Ministry of Emergency Situations appealed to Kazakhstanis due to worsening weather conditions.
