A girl who went missing four years ago has been found in Almaty.

According to the information media portal of the department, the police of the Tulebiy district, after extensive searches, found a girl who had been missing for four years and successfully reunited her with her mother.

"This joyous event has brought good news to the woman who has long awaited and yearned for her daughter," - noted the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

In the summer of 2021, a local resident reported the disappearance of her 16-year-old daughter. Upon receiving the information, law enforcement conducted all necessary investigative and operational activities.

Even after several years, the search based on the resident's report continued, and as a result, in January 2025, the mother and daughter, who had lost each other, finally reunited.

"Those days of not knowing what happened to my daughter are over. Thank you so much. At times, I didn't believe it was possible, but today my hopes have been fulfilled," - expressed heartfelt gratitude with tears in her eyes, the mother of the found girl.

The police discovered the missing girl working in one of the catering establishments in Almaty.

Currently, necessary measures are being taken to ascertain the circumstances of her prolonged absence and the reasons for her disappearance. The police are investigating and clarifying all the details of the incident.

Previously, an 18-year-old girl who had gone missing in the Karasai district of Almaty region was found with relatives. She was returned to her parents. After locating the missing person, the police conducted a preventive conversation with her and her parents.

Additionally, during a search and rescue operation at an altitude of 2970 meters in the Almaty region mountains, a missing tourist was discovered. He was located with the help of a "Kazaviaspas" helicopter. The man did not require medical assistance and was transported to Almaty.
