Kazakhstan and Slovenia are strengthening their ties.

To strengthen business and cultural relations, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Slovenia, Daniyar Sarekinov, undertook a working trip to Koper, the administrative center of Slovenia's southern region, as reported by DKnews.kz.

During a meeting with the mayor of Koper, Aleš Bržan, there was an exchange of views on establishing economic and cultural-humanitarian ties. The Ambassador of Kazakhstan informed the leadership of Koper about measures to support SMEs, the development of the agro-industrial complex, modernization of transport infrastructure, the implementation of digital technologies, and the provision of preferences and subsidies for investors in key sectors of the Kazakh economy. The parties also discussed the potential for regional cooperation and the signing of a sister city agreement between Aktau and Koper.

In meetings with the leadership of the largest Mediterranean container port, Luka Koper, and the regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the transit and transport capabilities of Kazakhstan were presented, along with government support measures for foreign investors and promising areas for business cooperation.

D. Sarekenov invited the leadership of Luka Koper to join the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route Association, and companies in the region to collaborate with "Astana Hub" – the largest international tech park for IT startups in Central Asia.

The interlocutors also noted that there is significant potential for effective cooperation in bilateral trade and economic interaction, particularly in the areas of logistics, transportation, and tourism.
