Kazakhstan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs held discussions on cooperation with the Japanese ambassador.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan met with the Ambassador of Japan, reports DKnews.kz.

The Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Murat Nurtleu, welcomed the newly appointed Ambassador of Japan to Kazakhstan, Yasumasa Iijima.

During the meeting, the parties thoroughly discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, placing particular emphasis on the schedule of planned mutual visits and events at high and top levels for the current year.

Given the significant volumes of bilateral trade and direct Japanese investments in Kazakhstan, special attention was paid to the importance of further deepening trade and economic cooperation.

The significance of the Joint Commission of the government and private sectors of Kazakhstan and Japan on economic cooperation was highlighted, as it contributes to the promotion of mutually beneficial partnerships.

For his part, Y. Iijima expressed his full readiness for active engagement in developing bilateral relations.

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, M. Nurtleu, wished the Ambassador of Japan success in his work in Kazakhstan.
