Developing soft skills: Parliamentary transparency in action.

The OSCE Program Office in Astana, in collaboration with the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan, organized a training session titled "Parliamentary Openness in Action: Developing Soft Skills for Parliamentary Assistants." The training focused on enhancing essential skills required for effective functioning within the Parliament, as reported by DKnews.kz.

During the training, participants enhanced their critical thinking skills, became acquainted with new methods of working with information, and learned principles of effective interaction with government bodies. Special attention was given to the development of emotional intelligence, time management, and self-organization skills.

One of the key aspects of the training was the modules dedicated to oral and written communication. Assistant deputies practiced skills in preparing reasoned responses to citizens' inquiries, conducting business correspondence, and preparing public speeches. The training contributed to the formation of professional competencies necessary for effective work in the context of parliamentary activities.
