Fight with Chimaev? Shavkat Rakhmonov assessed the likelihood of switching weight classes.

"Do you think you could eventually drop to 84 kilograms?" "I'm not sure. At least, I don't think so because my weight is already low for 77 kilograms. I might be a tall fighter, but I don't weigh that much. If my weight were to increase, I might consider it. But right now, that's not even on my mind. My only focus is on claiming the belt at 77 kilograms," Shavkat responded in an interview with Kamil Gadzhiev.
Бой с Чимаевым? Шавкат Рахмонов высказал мнение о возможности перехода в другую весовую категорию.

The UFC welterweight fighter from Kazakhstan, Shavkat Rakhmonov, commented on the possibility of moving up to a heavier weight class — the middle division, as reported by Sports.kz.

— Do you see yourself potentially moving up to 84 kilograms?
— I don’t know. At least, I don’t think so because my weight is even low for 77 kg. I might be a tall fighter, but I don’t weigh that much. If, of course, my weight increases, I could consider it. But right now, that’s not even on my mind. My only focus is to take the title at [77 kg], — Shavkat replied in an interview with Kamil Gadzhiev.

It’s worth noting that in the middleweight division of the UFC, there is a representative from the UAE, Hamzat Chimaev, who was previously in the same division as Shavkat, and their potential fight was considered one of the most anticipated in the promotion.
