Elena Rybakina discussed her exit from the 2025 Australian Open and shared insights about her current condition.

"Of course, this isn't the result I was hoping for. It was a very tough match. I had some opportunities to turn things in my favor, but the reality is that I need to work much harder. I believe that in the second game of the third set, when I was receiving serve, I had a chance to go ahead 2-0, but ultimately it ended up being 1-1. From that point on, everything became even more challenging. I think if I had gone up 2-0, it would have changed the course of the match and helped me play differently."

Kazakhstani tennis player Elena Rybakina commented on her unexpected defeat to American Madison Keys (3:6, 6:1, 3:6) in the 1/8 finals of the Australian Open, as reported by Sports.kz.

“Of course, this is not the result I was hoping for. It was a very tough match. I had some opportunities to turn things in my favor, but the reality is that I need to work much harder. I think in the second game of the third set, when I was receiving, I had a chance to go ahead with a score of 2:0, but it ended up being 1:1. From that moment on, everything became even more difficult, but I believe if I had taken the lead at 2:0, it would have changed everything and helped me continue the match differently.

Yesterday I had a whole day for recovery, along with some treatments, so I can say that in this match I felt better than in the previous one, fortunately. However, now that the match is over, I admit that I feel some pain. The reality is that I need to rest a bit, and I need some time to recover before I can continue working,” Rybakina's words are quoted by Puntodebreak.com.
