Kazakhstan lost its second duel against Uzbekistan in the final of the small world boxing championship.

Kazakhstan boxer Yerasyl Zhakpekov competed in the final match at the "Strandja Cup" in Sofia (Bulgaria), which is also referred to as a minor world championship, reports Sports.kz.

In the final of the 80-kilogram weight category, Zhakpekov faced Uzbek fighter Fazliddin Erkinboev. The match concluded with Erkinboev winning by unanimous decision.

As a result, Fazliddin Erkinboev claimed the gold medal, while Yerasyl Zhakpekov finished the tournament as the silver medalist. It is worth noting that earlier in the finals, there was another matchup between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan: in the 54 kg category, Kazakh boxer Timur Kabdeshov lost to Uzbek Shahzod Muzaffarov (2:3).
