Kazakhstani boxers Ertugan Zeynullin and Mukhamedsabyr Bazarbayuly faced off in the final of the "Strandja Cup" in Sofia (Bulgaria), which is also known as the small world championship, reports Sports.kz.
Zeynullin and Bazarbayuly competed for the "gold" in the weight category up to 63.5 kilograms. The outcome of this match was a unanimous decision victory for Ertugan Zeynullin — 5:0. As a result, he became the tournament champion, while Mukhamedsabyr Bazarbayuly finished his participation in the small world championship with a silver medal.
Additionally, another Kazakh derby will take place today: Ablaykhan Zhusupov and Farukh Tokhtasinov will determine the strongest in the 71 kg category. Initially, two more bouts involving Kazakhstani fighters were planned, but the coaching staff decided not to conduct the matches of Sabyrzhan Akkalykov vs. Timur Nurseitov (in 75 kg) and Nurbek Oralbay vs. Bekzad Nurdauleotov (in 86 kg): Akkalykov and Nurdauleotov were declared the winners by default.
